Open Days and Public Meetings - 2025
This calendar will be updated as details of Public Meeting guest speakers, Open House exhibitors and Special Events are confirmed.

Open Days are normally held on the 2nd Sunday in March, July, September and November with the house open from 11am - 3pm. An entry fee of $5.00 per person is charged, with children under 12 years admitted free.
Public Meetings are held on the 2nd Sunday in February, the 3rd Sunday in May, and the 2nd Sunday in August (this meeting includes the Annual General Meeting). Meetings commence at 2pm. A Guest Speaker is booked for each meeting and Afternoon Tea is provided.
Current advice from the NSW Health Department is that masks are no longer necessary in some indoor settings, however if visitors feel more comfortable wearing a mask, please do so.

Guest Speaker: Carol Liston AO - Adjunct Associate Professor / Australian Historian
Topic: "Widows with a Will" - Married women were unable to leave property in a will until the Married Women's Property Acts were passed in the late 19th century (1893 in NSW) but widows and spinsters could leave wills. What do their wills reveal about women, their families and what they valued? This talk will look at some of the wills and probates held at the NSW State Archives.
